ABOUT ME
Josh is a screenwriter/sportswriter/just plain writer. His hobbies include writing about himself in the third person.

My latest feature screenplay, WHATEVER AFTER, a romantic dramedy based on true events from my life, has been optioned to ATN Entertainment with Elise Duran attached to direct.

My R-rated comedy feature screenplay, DISCIPLES OF DARRYL, sold to Intrepid Pictures. Another R-rated comedy feature, COUGAR SAFARI, was optioned by Spitfire Pictures. A third, CRASH WEDNESDAY, made The Hit List.
My drama TV pilot, BETTER, was purchased by SF Studios and an eight-episode season one is being produced overseas for Scandinavian streaming service Viaplay. My family comedy feature, FIXING THE FLETCHERS, was optioned by Southpaw Entertainment.

I got my start in screenwriting when a wild night in my life inspired a friend to write the screenplay for DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR?, on which I did uncredited work.

I've written extensively about both baseball and football. I currently write a weekly column for NinersNation, SB Nation's San Francisco 49ers blog. My work has also been published in The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times.

I'm available for freelance work in any field of writing, from copywriting to non-fiction to storytelling in any form.
